Boipusong HIV/AIDS Youth Association (BOHAYA)
is an indigenous, Non-Profit HIV and AIDS Youth Association for young Basotho living with HIV and AIDS as well as those affected.
Founded in Lesotho on October, 4th 2016 and officially registered on March, 1 2017 with the law office under societies Act of 1996. Subscribed membership of over 1150 youth and adolescents from Berea, Maseru, Mafeteng and Mohale’s Hoek and Quthing district in Lesotho.
Primary target and beneficiaries of the organization are young people living with HIV and AIDS and the entire community as may be appropriately considered affected.
OUR MISSION
Boipusong HIV/AIDS Youth Association (BOHAYA) was solemnly established to prevent new HIV infections among youth and adolescents of both sexes and especially adolescent girls and young women, retain PLWHA and those with TB on treatment, fight stigma and discrimination among PLWHA, eradicate all forms of GBV, link beneficiaries to primary health services (HIV, TB, SRH, Cervical Cancer services) and to secure means of livelihood for people infected and affected by HIV. We adopt evidence and human rights based approaches and also help beneficiaries to develop knowledge, skills and confidence to live developed, productive and healthy lives.
